Welcome to the Lightmongers Livery Company, which is one of the modern Livery companies and number 96 in order of precedence within the City of London. As a modern company all of our members are involved in, or linked to, the lighting industry.
The main objectives of the Company are:
- To foster the art and science of lighting by bringing together those practicing the many different skills involved and to promote fellowship in the industry.
- To invest in the future of the industry by encouraging the development of education and training programmes, in conjunction with Universities, Colleges, Schools and associated Industry bodies. - Through the Lightmongers Charitable Trust to provide support to charities helping those who suffer from sensory deprivation of sight or hearing and City of London charitable causes. Click here for more information about the work of the Lightmongers Charitable Trust.
The membership of The Worshipful Company of Lightmongers represents all sections of the Lighting and electrical industry, including e.g. lamp & luminaire manufacturers, electrical contractors, electrical wholesalers, public lighting engineers, consulting engineers, lighting designers and architects.
