It is with sadness that we report on the death of one of the gentleman experts in lighting, Mr. Lou Bedocs. For some time we have been looking for an affiliation with an army cadet unit to go alongside that for the Sea and Air cadets which we already support. Our search led us to the Royal School of Milatary engineering where Army Engineers arere trained. We held our annual Carol service on the 5th of December in our Company Church, St Botolph’s without Aldgate. The service was conducted by the Rev Laura Jorgenson and was a traditional service of lessons and carols. One of the highlights of the Masters year is attending the send-off for the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Driver’s annual Children’s Magical Taxi Tour, taking sick and terminally ill children to Disneyland Paris.  The Hackney Carriage Drivers have provided this 3 day trip, from Friday to Sunday, for 25 years now, and it is very much appreciated by the families participating. Once again the Lightmongers golfers took on the annual challenge against the Tallow Chandlers at Beaconsfield GC on 25th September 2001.
