At its February 2020 Court meeting it was great to see eleven new members join the Company as Freemen; Heidi De Lucchi, Lux Box Lighting Technology; Colin George, Lutron EA; John Humphrey, Channel Safety Systems; Mark Lester, CP Electronics; Chris Murphy, Skanska Construction UK; Farhad Rahim, Buro Happold; Graham Smith, Highways Electrical Association; Gino Stocchetti, Gewiss UK; Kevin Theobald, KTLD; James Thorpe, Thorlux Lighting and Paul Town, Lutron EA.
The Master, Peter Harris, welcomed them all to the Company and encouraged them to progress to take part in the wonderful events being a member brings for them, their partners and guests. Their next step, as members, would be to gain the Freedom of the City and then apply to become Liverymen of the Company.
It was also a great pleasure for the Court to congratulate Mark Sutton Vane on progressing to full membership by becoming a Liveryman of the Company. Liverymen are able to become more involved in the development of the Company e.g. through participating in Committees and are also eligible to vote in the annual elections for the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs of London.
The evening concluded with a convivial dinner in the historic surroundings of Tallow Chandlers Hall where the new Freemen and Liverymen, together with their partners, were able to chat with the members of Court.
