On Monday 3 April, members of the Court were pleased to participate at a special ceremony held in Weybridge at the home of Past Master Patricia Brain. This was to bestow the status of Honorary Liveryman of WCL on Commodore John Keegan OBE RN for his considerable liaison work with us ever since the inception of our first RN affiliation with HMS Invincible. The now 20-year relationship has been of inestimable interest and goodwill for our Livery and the Commodore was responsible for many instigations of the early years.

John was accompanied by his wife Susan and his younger son Christopher who is on his way to join the military, but in the Army!

The short ceremony was followed by an excellent buffet luncheon where the Commodore was able to meet again with some old chums as he has been out of circulation now for some time.

Court members were particularly grateful to our host PM Patricia Brain and a vote of considerable thanks was made to her for this unusual but most splendid occasion.
