The Construction Livery Group held its annual awards ceremony at the newly refurbished Glaziers Hall on the 26th February. The awards date back to 2001 when Masters certificates were first awarded to those who have held a leading position in their profession. These were then extended to include awards for Journeymen and Apprentices.

There are now 14 Livery Companies who present their awards at the ceremony, which is a regular appointment in the Lord Mayors calendar.

This year the Master Lightmonger read the charges for our Master Certificate award to Robert Venning; Journeyman Certificate to Bonnie Brooks and Apprentice Certificate to Melanie Wells. The certificates were presented by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor, Alderman Charles Bowman.

Robert Venning had a long and distinguished career with Ove Arup over 35 years as well as supporting education in Lighting, where he chairs the LET Management Committee.
