One of the highlights of the Masters year is attending the send-off for the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Driver’s annual Children’s Magical Taxi Tour, taking sick and terminally ill children to Disneyland Paris. On September 6th a party of 60 Lightmongers and their guests boarded the Edwardian, a Thames river cruiser for a trip to view the lighting of the first 4 Bridges of the Illuminated River project. On August 23rd a group of 30 Lightmongers had the great privilege to be welcomed aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth, the Royal Navy’s latest aircraft carrier. A memorial service and reception to celebrate the life of Margaret Price, wife of Liveryman Bill Price MBE, was held on 27 July at Christ Church, Bexleyheath.
