It was a great pleasure for the Court, at its 14th February 2023 meeting, to install three new Liveryman and to welcome into the Company six new Freemen.

The Court congratulated Professor Peter R. Boyce, Stuart Dutton and Philip Gray on progressing to full membership by becoming Liverymen of the Company. Liverymen are able to take up various City of London benefits, such as the right to vote for the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs, and to be more involved in the operation of the Company, including up to becoming Master if they are so interested.

At the same meeting the Court were also delighted to welcome into the Company six new Freemen:

Honorary Freeman – Squadron Leader Mark Bird, OC of our affiliated RAF Cadet Unit.

Freeman – Kimberley Bartlett, Associate Principal Lighting Designer, Introba UK.

Freeman – Christopher Clements, UK Sales & Marketing Manager. ABB ELIP Installation Products.

Freeman Darren Horobin, Project Manager, London Borough of Camden + Secretary ILP.

Freeman Joe Mee, Regional Director, Edmundson Electrical.

Freeman Craig Stead, Country General Manager, Clevertronics UK.

At the Court dinner that evening the Master, Jamie Berry warmly welcomed the new Liverymen and Freemen and particularly encouraged the new Freemen to progress to full membership of the Company by becoming Liverymen (the first step that being to obtain the Freedom of the City of London). He also urged all members to fully participate in our various networking events and to support our charitable and education work.

Freeman Kimberley Bartlett responded on behalf of the guests, thanking the Master, Wardens and Court for an enjoyable evening and looking forward to membership of the Lightmongers.
