Ian and team setting up.

Here’s an example of fantastic charity action, on behalf of the Lightmongers Charitable Trust by one of our Members.

At the Red Cross market held at Guildhall last November, the organisers had a very short notice, urgent need for the provision of temporary electrical services to support an outdoor element of the event i.e. a Christmas market.

One of our members, Liveryman and Past Master Ian Crosby, through his company Crosby Electrical Services Ltd came to the rescue!  He and his team worked over the weekend, installing standby power and connecting the stalls up, finally finishing up Sunday evening, in order to ensure the market was ready to open on the Monday morning. Crosby Electrical Services have generously donated the value of the work to the Red Cross on behalf of the Lightmongers Charitable Trust.  A truly fantastic and generous example of charitable action!

To quote the Red Cross in their thank you to Crosby Electrical – “I don’t know where to start saying thank you to you and your fabulous team for all your help with the Market. You were a life-saver in getting on and sorting out the power…”
