November 7th was a busy Court meeting for Master Tony Ginman with seven new members admitted to the Company and two Freemen progressing to full membership as Liverymen.

The meeting opened with three Court appointments; Past Master Father Peter Harris was installed as Senior Court Assistant; Liveryman Paul Jones was appointed as a Court Assistant and Liveryman Donna Berry was appointed as a Court Liveryman. The Court warmly welcomed them into their new appointments and thanked them for their commitment to the Company.

The Court was delighted to welcome and install the following new members:

  • Gary Lester, Non-Executive Director of several businesses
  • John Holden,  Academic
  • Peter Earle, FSLL, Lighting Industry Expert and Consultant
  • Carl Pye, MD at CLP Group FS LTD
  • Lawrence Baynham, Director at INDO
  • Gary McLean, Director at GSM Highways
  • Matt Claydon, Sales Manager at 4Lite UK&I

The Master presented the new Freemen with their Certificates of Membership, extended a warm welcome to them and encouraged them, as part of maximising the benefit of their membership of the Company, to actively participate in the Company and its events and to support its Charity work.

The Court was also pleased that two Freemen of the Company progressed to full membership by becoming Liverymen, which enables them to take a fuller part in both the Company and the City of London Livery movement.

This was the final Court meeting at which Tony Ginman was presiding as Master and the business of the meeting was expedited efficiently as always. At the end of the formal business the Court gave a sincere vote of thanks to the Master for his outstanding contribution in representing and promoting the Lightmongers Company during his year of office.
