We were delighted to recognise the first of our Founder Corporate Patrons who were presented with their commemorative plaques by the Master at the Court Dinner on 11 February 2026.
A special thank you to Past Master Rodney Bennion OBE, who has championed and driven the Corporate Patronage Scheme on behalf of the Company.
It was a pleasure for the Master, Graham Smith and Past Master Rod Bennion to present plaques to three of our five Founder Sponsors:
Thorlux Lighting, represented by Kate Thorpe and James Thorpe

STATUS INTERNATIONAL (UK) LTD, represented by Peter McVeigh

ANEW (ASSOCIATED NATIONAL ELECTRICAL WHOLESALERS LIMITED), represented by Samantha McFall.

Our remaining Founder Sponsors will be announced shortly and recognized at an upcoming Lightmonger event.
While membership of the Lightmongers is for individuals, our Corporate Patronage Scheme enables organisations to play a more active role in our charitable work and events while raising their profile within the Square Mile and the wider City of London community. Thank you to these founding organisations for backing the initiative and committing to greater engagement with their Livery company as it approaches its 75th Year.
If your organisation would like to find out more about becoming a Corporate Patron of this vibrant Livery Company, please contact the Clerk at: Clerk@lightmongers.co.uk
The Court Dinner was very well attended with plenty of social/networking time for the guests to circulate and chat to each other during the reception and after the dinner whilst enjoying a stirrup cup.
In his after-dinner speech the Master, Graham Smith, warmly welcomed all the guests, including Masters and Clerks from two other Livery Companies. He congratulated our new Freemen and new Liveryman and wished them much satisfaction in their membership and added his thanks again to the support shown by the Founder Corporate Patrons.
