The Lightmongers annual Charity Golf Day was held 8th September at the RAC Club, Epsom in support of our two affiliated schools, New College Worcester for visually impaired students and Mary Hare School for hearing impaired students.
This was the 20th anniversary of this fund-raising event, which was superbly supported this year with 19 teams taking part, and whilst there was some challenging rain in the early stages the golfers finished their rounds in blue sky and sunshine!
The event was also strongly supported by sponsors with generous donations and provision of auction lots and raffle prizes – HUGE thanks to them for their generosity.
During the evening Awards Dinner prizes were awarded to the teams with the best results on the day, plus a number of individual prizes e.g. nearest the pin in 1.
New College Worcester and Mary Hare School both took part in the event and expressed their appreciation and thanks to the Lightmongers for the support we provide to them ,and most importantly, to their students.
The event is organised through the Lightmongers Charitable Trust Ltd, a registered charity, where the main focus of our charitable giving is towards helping those with sensory impairment of sight and/or hearing, where good lighting is so beneficial.
