The Lightmongers Company continues to grow apace as the Master Graham Smith and members of the Lightmongers’ Court and Company were delighted to welcome eight new freemen at the 216th Court Meeting on 6th May 2026, who bring a wide range of new skills and experiences to the Company:

At the same meeting three of our Freemen progressed to full membership, becoming Liverymen of the Company, which enables them to become more involved in the shaping of the future of the Company and in contributing to the City of London:

The Court meeting was followed by a lively pre-dinner drinks reception, allowing plenty of time for people to meet and chat. An excellent Court Dinner in the superb surroundings of Tallow Chandlers Hall then took place at which Lightmongers Education awards were presented to individual students and the annual donations from our Lightmongers Charitable Trust to our two affiliated schools, New College Worcester and Mary Hare School were presented.
